The Menil Drawing Institute, founded in 2008 as the first U.S. freestanding facility dedicated to modern and contemporary drawings from THE Menil collection. The 30,000-square-foot structure WAS Designed by Los Angeles firm Johnston Marklee and opened in 2018.
